The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has ten Regional Offices (ROs) that provide a local presence necessary to achieve the Center's objectives. Each Regional Office works closely with CMS Central Office as well a number of states (between two and eight) that fall within their purview. In each Regional Office is a representative responsible for influencing, coordinating, and monitoring the PASRR activities of their states.
